Big month. I mentioned I was going to post about the last site I worked on once it was up and running; it has now been up for long enough that I’ve gone back and carried out the follow-up maintenance. So that’s one thing I worked on this month. It was a really fun project and promises to lead to more work – darngoodyarn.com.

Our new store (Gruff House) took most of the month though. The graphic design was all Jon. It looks very Jon. He handed it over to me after that, to integrate WordPress and Big Cartel and complete the content layout and coding and such. I worked out how to do some neat stuff with Big Cartel. Their API is a real pleasure to work with.

That’s now live and the first couple of weeks have been promising. We’ve had a decent visitor base from the start and the feedback we’ve been getting has been all positive. We’re both really excited about where it’s going.

We’re still learning how to best fit the order handling and artist communications into our schedule.

I’ve got more, but not tonight. I just found a 12-pack of this German beer on sale at Whole Foods. So, less type, more drink. It is still the weekend after all.
